Deafult Pages in WCMS

Hi, Can someone please advise on the following: What exactly is the 'Default Page' setting used for in WCMS?

I've done the following. Created 2 clones of a category page (the original category page had a category restriction applied). On these clones I added an additional time restriction (separated by 10 mins). I set the original category page as default.

What happens now is that the two cloned pages display correctly, at the right time. But the 'default' page does not display - instead it is replaced by a product grid page. If I deselect the original page from default - then it displays fine.

The "default page" is the page that is used if there is no other pages with restrictions that evaluate to make the page visible for the current context. The product grid page is also a category page so probably it is the first default page that is found
