Cockpit browser support

Former Member

Hi Team,

I just want to know what all the browsers supported by Hybris cockpits. Hybris cockpit architecture uses ZK framework and ZK supports limited browsers.

I assume Hybris uses ZK -7 version, and ZK -7 is compatible with IE 8+. Also cockpit is not responsive.

Thanks, Akhil.

Hi Akhil,

As a general rule of thumb, the best browsers to use are Chrome and Firefox. This holds true for hybris, as the technology is modern.

To use Internet Explorer, press F12 in browser, to bring up the developer tools and set the "Browser Mode" to the latest available version.

I cannot find the official documentation, from hybris, regarding the supported browsers.

Regards,
Luke

Hi Luke,

Thanks for the information. We have faced similar issue in our previous projects with IE. As you said I don't see any documentation about cockpit browser and channel support.

Do you know if cockpit is supportive (responsive) for other channels like mobile?

I saw some documentation about RWD in wiki but its not useful.

I have similar question regarding cockpit browser support.

I created dummy cockpit and want to open this in IE9.

I tested my cockpit in following scenarios:

1) Clicked on F12 on developer tools, Set browser mode: IE9 , Document mode: IE9 standards -> In this case I am getting blank screen. (cockpit is not opening).

2) Clicked on F12 on developer tools, Set browser mode: IE9 , Document mode: IE7 standards (default )-> In this case, cockpit is opening.

Can you please tell me, Whether cockpit supports IE9 or not? Which is right way (1 or 2) to test cockpit browser support?

Please help! Thanks in advance!
