Tomcat not working after ant production 5.2.0.2

I'm deploying the result of ant production on 5.2.0.2 and I'm getting an error saying that catalina.sh cannot be found. Looking into the tomcat dir, I notice there's no bin directory. Is this a defect?

EDIT: also, the config dir (from the zip file) was reported to be corrupt when running ant.

Couldn't find that info easily.
