New Info package Delta loads

BW Experts,

I have 4 info packages which load deltas and are part of a process chain in production. When I put this process chain to production, I took a strategy not to transport the dev class associated with it so that any changes to be done in production must come thr' dev via transports. With no corresponding dev class being transported to production with this process chain, it will not allow to change the rescheduling of the proicess chain to some other time.

All of a sudden the BASIS Informed me that there is a 4 hr outage window today. but my process chain is schedule to run at that outage window. So I need to reschedule these process chains. As I said before this is not possible.

So this is the strategy i am adopting for a interim solution for today......

I am copying the info packages which load deltas in production and saving it as new info packages.

I am building a new process chain in production to include these new Info packages and schedule this process chain at a different time.

In my job monitor, sm37, i am going to cancel the original process chain which is scheduled to run during the outage window.

Questions:

If the new delta info packages are copied from the originals, are the delta affected?

Can i actually cancel a scheduled process chain in sm37?

Inputs will be appreciated....

Thanks

Ashwin

PS: The outage window is at 1:00pm EST...Have to do this before that:-)

Thank you all for your inputs, This is what I am goin to do, AS i will be scheduling a brand new process chain with a different time, I will go ahead and just delete this existing this job. I guess that solves my problem.... Thanks you all once again.

      Cheers

If the InfoPackages are exactly same, you should have no problem.

In SM37 cancel a job that starts with BI-PROCESS-TRIGGER or something similar. Cancel that. Search by your ID or search by wild char process or smth.
