Deactivate Standard Password Encoding?

290 Views

Hi,

I have a question regarding the password encoding configuration.

At the moment, we use:

 <bean id="core.passwordEncoderFactory" class="de.hybris.platform.persistence.security.PasswordEncoderFactoryImpl">
     <property name="encoders">
         <map>
             <entry>
                 <key>
                     <value>*</value>
                 </key>
                 <ref bean="core.saltedSHA256PasswordEncoder" />
             </entry>
             <entry>
                 <key>
                     <value>sha256</value>
                 </key>
                 <ref bean="core.saltedSHA256PasswordEncoder" />
             </entry>
         </map>
     </property>
 </bean>

Now we are wondering if we could delete the "*" entry so that we just have the "sha256" entry. Would this cause problems?

Kind regards, Benedikt
