commercesearchbackoffice Extension

Hi, I am working for a client that has just upgraded from 4.7 to 5.1.0. according to https://wiki.hybris.com/display/release5/Commerce+Search+-+Tutorial the WYSIWYG editor (Commerce Search Backoffice) should be delivered out of the Box in 5.1.0, however one of our developers says it is not out of the box before 5.2.? is this correct.

If we want to add the commerce search backoffice to our 5.1.0 installation would it work by adding the commercesearchbackoffice Extension? https://wiki.hybris.com/display/release5/commercesearchbackoffice+Extension

if yes anybody that has tips on a good implementation strategy? I think the client will refuse an upgrade to 5.2 right know, so I would like to avoid it if possible.

I hope I understood your question correctly.

The commercesearchbackoffice extension is available OOTB. I had hybris 5.1.0 on my machine, check the backoffice screenshot below which clearly shows the availability of this extension in hybris 5.1.0

Also check the hybris 5.1.0 release notes in the Commerce Modules/Commerce Search Module section#
