BW Experts,

I have a new ODS and have loaded data in it. When I rt click on the ODS and choose manage and then if I want to see the contents of the ODS I am getting the following error.

System error: RSDRC / FORM AUTHORITY_CHECK USER NOT AUTHORIZED ZSD_O01 ZSD_O01

Message no. DBMAN100

Diagnosis

A system error with the following parameters has occurred in the data manager:

Parameter 1 = &v1&

Parameter 2 = &v2&

Parameter 3 = &v3&

Parameter 4 = &v4&

However, I can still see my data through my active data table tab.

Any thoughts on why I am getting this error when I want to see it directely through manage ods?

Thanks

Ashwin

Hi Ashwin,

Is the ODS enabled for reporting? I came across a similar situation recently and it was because I did not have the auth for data access for that particular ODS. I could look at the data through SE16 and the active data table, but not if I did a LISTCUBE for it.

After it was added to a role and assigned, the error message was removed. (Auth object: S_RS_ODSO)

Hope this helps...

Bhanu,

The BEX reporting flag is enabled. This is a brand new ODS and I actually do not know how to assign it to a role, should i do it or should i ask the security/authorization people to do it. If so what is the specific way to put it across to them?

Thanks

Hi Ashwin,

The security person should be able to do this. If there ar other objects in the InfoArea that are used in reporting, and you have roles set up by InfoArea, then you can explain to them to add Auth object: S_RS_ODSO with value * (so that it takes care of all ODS in the InfoArea) to this role.

Hope this helps...

It seems you don't have authorizations to view data. Please talk to your Basis team and explained them the error message which you got.

I ran su53 and it said all authorizations successful. As AHP suggested, it must be a program error, any clues on how to fix it?

Thanks

dear Ashwin,

try to execute transaction SU53 and see if any no authorization for ods objects, pass the info to basis.

if all authorization checks successfull then perhaps it's 'program error'.

hope this helps.
