    The Data Hub uses logback, so you have to modify the logback.xml file located in your webapps/datahub-webapp/WEB-INF/classes directory.

    We are playing around with the logback.xml during a training session at hybris. We see there are TWO logback configuraiton files shipped in the datahub-webapp-5.4.0.0-RC9.war

    • WEB-INF\classes\logback.xml

    • WEB-INF\classes\com.hybris.datahub_datahub-webapp-logback.xml

    The first file seems to be used for server startup only. Then a switch the the second configuration take place.

    16:38:36.099 [localhost-startStop-1] INFO c.h.c.c.LogbackConfigurationContextListener - [[com.hybris.datahub:datahub-webapp:5.4.0.0-RC9]] Logging configured from 'file:/......../datahub-training/datahub-overlay/target/datahub-webapp/WEB-INF/classes/com.hybris.datahub_datahub-webapp-logback.xml'.

    Strange, isn't it?

    Here is the solution that I found :

    https://wiki.hybris.com/display/release5/Configuring+Logging+in+the+Data+Hub

    Basically, the root logger for the console, is set to "warn", hence you only warning messages will be visible on the console.

    If you see the contents of "com.hybris.datahub_datahub-webapp-logback.xml", you will find that the root level logger is set to "warn". Change this to either "info" or "debug" and the logging will work. Good luck.

    I haven't done it, but I would think it works identical to other logging:

    https://wiki.hybris.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=141792994

    You add something like this to your local.properties:

    log4j.logger.my.base.packagename.extension=debug
