SAP HANA Health Check Issues Stat. server tables with retention < 42 days

Hi all,

The RSP SAP HANA Health Check that runs is on an acceptable level.

I ran the query: "HANA_StatisticsServer_Histories_RetentionTime" from Note 1999993.

The results are these tables

The default days are less then 42. Should this be changed to resolve the issue from the HANA health check?
If so, where can this be changed?

Thank you
Jerusha

    Hello Jerusha,

With Embedded Statistics Servers, most of the collectors retention time is 42 days. But there are still few histories which has small default retention time. In my opinion, there is no harm in keeping the default value as provided because SAP might have kept this value keeping some things in mind.

Are you facing any issue with the small retention time, beside getting 'X' for M0750 CHID on running HANA check? You can refer SAP Note 2147247 which describe reduced retention time is useful or acceptable for mentioned collector in SAP Note.

If you still want to proceed, you can use SQL command as mentioned in SAP Note.

    Regards,

    Dennis.

    • Hello Dennis,

Thanks a mil for the info.
We are not having any other issues, in terms of space or performance. However the health check rating is on acceptable and my manager wants it to be on an excellent rating as the system status report.. So I'm going through all the X's to try and resolve those issues.
