BRFplus Delete/Remove Out-of-Date Version of Objects

Hey Guys,

i have the following problem:

I want to delete a decision table which was used in another decision table earlier. It's still part of an older version of this decision table. System says -> cannot delete if it's used by another Object. Strictly it's not used by another object but of another object's version.

I tried to help myself and was looking at the help page of SAP and I found the following instruction there:

You can delete an object only if it is not used by any other object. Keep in mind that in case of versioned objects, usage relationships may exist between the object that you want to delete and historical versions of another object. In this case, you must first remove the out-of-date usage before you can delete the referenced object.

But as much as I try to find any menu or button to remove out-of-date versions, I can't find a way.

I hope you guys can help me.

Greetings
Niklas

Hi Niklas,

I see 2 basic options here:

  1. If you do not want/need versioning on, use Tools: Mass Change to change all objects to not use versioning, save all, and then you should be able to delete the now unused decision table. If that doesn't work, you may also have to go to Application Administration and use the operation Delete Old Object Versions.
  2. If you do want versioning on, you can use the Obsolete function to ensure that you no longer use the object. This will allow you keep the object but will not let you continue to use it actively. The top expresstion 'NOT_RESIDENTIAL' is obsolete in this case.

Either of these options will work, just depending on your requirements. Hope this helps!
