We are running S4/HANA on AWS VPC (hosted at AWS Seoul region), which is connected with company's LAN through site-to-site VPN. But a few offices (mostly located at foreign countries) sometimes experience unresponsive VPN tunnels (or very long delay). I guess that this issue is partly due to poor Internet connection quality. However there is no better Internet service providers available for those offices. So, I am going to try assign public IP addresses to SAP servers and allow SAP GUIs and RFC applications connect SAP without VPN.
1. Does it worth try? Or, what else can I try?
2. Does SAP GUI / RFC connection provide data confidentiality by itself?
Hi Ko
Regarding the second question & answer are available in the SAP SCN wiki link.but you can refer the SAP Note 2512846 - How to perform a Network analysis - Guided Answers which is having clear information.
