SAP IDM 8 RDS, GRC 10, LDAP

hello,

I do not have as much knowledge in SAP IDM 8, however I have implemented SAP IDM 8 RDS earlier for a different client.

Recently I am asked to implement SAP IDM 8 for another client and this time IDM 8 has to do risk analysis from GRC (existing) and then provision to ABAP systems.(LDAP-IDM-GRC-ABAP).

My questions are -

1) Can I implement SAP provided IDM 8 RDS and also sap standard GRC framework? (Because SAP RDS does not have GRC in scope)

2) is there any other RDS (+document) available which can be used? Any help will save me 🙂

3) is there any step by step document available (like RDS document) which I can use for LDAP-IDM-GRC-ABAP scenario?

Hi Ani,

1. As Matt already mentioned, RDS is no longer supported. Nevertheless, the content still exists, it is now managed by SAP Consulting. If you want to use the content in your project, you have to involve SAP consulting.
2. AC-integration is independent of RDS, you just use standard AC-integration.
3. Docu for AC integration you can find in official help and its usually detailed enough.

Reach out to SAP. Or if you could check with olaf.tetzlaff. I think he did some work on the documentation. (Olaf Arndt can fill you in 🙂 )

I believe the RDS is no longer supported. I know there is documentation on the integration, but I don't believe anyone has ever made a tutorial doc.

Hi Matt,

Since the RDS documentation has been removed from the SAP Marketplace, how would a company that downloaded and implemented IDM RDS before the module was retired in March 2018 gain access to the this documentation if they are not using SAP Consulting?
