EWM Returnable Packaging Process

Hi All,

My project has requirement of using Returnable Packaging.

The Pallet for example issued to customer is Returnable packaging.

Returnable package will be maintained as part of inventory.

Now when we issue the pallet to customer or when the customer return the pallet, we create delivery and that delivery is distributed to EWM for further warehouse task creation and to final issue or putaway.

Here in the outbound delivery the returnable package shows as seperate line item.

I have really no idea what configuration settings required inorder to issue or receive the returnable package from EWM.

If any one has experienced the similar requirement, kindly share the documentation the same.

Appreciate your help in advance.

Thanks a lot Lakshmipathi, this information would help me a lot. I will convey to my client about this feature and they should take the call now to go with this option or not as it incurred with additional cost.

Many thanks for your help.

You need to go for an add-on package which involves cost, to address this requirement. Have a look at OSS note 2780478 for more information.

Thanks Ganesan for your quick response. I have gone through the note you mentioned. Is this also applicable for S/4 aswell? We are implementing S/4 HANA 1809. Do you think by any chance this solution is embedded in S/4 without having the need of add-on?

Appreciate again for your help.

Also, when you add the text under Comments, it will be intimated to the person to whom you are responding whereas, if you add the text under Answer, the member will not be intimated.
