Couple of queries

Hi,

I am working on a report and am facing with a couple of doubts.

My requirements are this.

1. I want to show 2 columns one for CurrentYear and the other one for Prior Year. How do I get Current Year - 1 in restricted keyfigure. There is a Time char(0FISC..) and also a Keyfigure to which it can be restricted.

2.%GT and %CT are not getting displayed in the list of Percentage functions while creating a calculated key figure.

Kindly help me to resolve this.

Thanks and regards,

Manesh

Hi,

1.create a restricted keyfigure which is restricted by 0FISCPER.

One more restricted Keyfigure (just copy of first one)..and take offset as -1 for 0FISCPER in this RKF.

2.While creating CKF,you will not get %GT,%CT..etc function...instead of that Go with formula.i.e. rght click on u r KF structure--->new formula.

Pl dont foget to assign points if it helps.

Hi ,

Thanks for the reply. But I do not know how to do the offset thing which you mentioned. Can you provide a step by step process for this.

And for the second one, i cannot find the new formula anywher i click on the keyfigure.

Can you elaborate on this.

I sure will not forget to give you points-;)

Copy the same structure yoiu had used for the previous variable and then right click on the variable and select specify variable offsets and specify the offset.

Right click on the 'Key Figure' and sp[ecify new formula.

Arun

You are in Query designer right ???

hi,

<i>And for the second one, i cannot find the new formula anywher i click on the keyfigure.

You have to right click on your KeyFigures <b>Structure</b> not on KeyFigure.

<i>

But I do not know how to do the offset thing which you mentioned. Can you provide a step by step process for this.</i>

Hope You have already have a restricted KeyFigure which is Restricted by 0FISCPER.right?if not let me now.

From context menu (Right clcick)of RKF->Edit->Right click on 0FISCPER-->restrict->click on 'variables' tab...select 0FPER....move it right window by using arrrow....now Right click on 0FPER in Right side window->choose 'specify offsets->provide -1 (by default it would be 0).--->ok.

Save your Query.

Thanks

Yes manesh...You can achieve this using Text variables for that Restricted KeyFigures/Formulas.

Hi,

I could add <i>0T_FYEAR</i> which is the text variable for the current Fiscal year as a variable to my Restricted KeyFigure and it is showing fine. But when I added the same for a formula keyfigure that I created,it is displaying the

<i>0T_FYEAR</i> as it is.Why could this be?

And how do I create a text variable for 0FISCYEAR-1.I tried creating one variabe but ended up showing the same year as I did not find any possibility to show the year before. And this should not be a user entered value, but should automatically come depending on the 0FISCYEAR.

Add same text variable 0T_FYEAR to second restricted Keyfigure also...You dont need to create new one for '-1'...

It should not be like that.it should show you 2005 for formula.please check once again carefully.

Hi,

It does not work.

In the first case where I require 2005, I added the same text variable 0T_FYEAR to the restricted key figure

(<i>which has an offset and displaying 2005 details</i>) and the heading shows 2006.

In the second case, for another heading for 2006,it is displaying the <i>0T_FYEAR</i> directly without displaying the year 2006.

Also tell me how do I delete a text variable that I created.

hey are you using same time char 0FISCPER in both restricted Keyfigures?please chack it once gain.If you are not using same Time char in both RKFs,then only it displays 0T_FYEAR as it is..

You have not created any Text variable know?u r just using sap defined text variable 0T_FYEAR .

thanks

in addition to that:

1.Use variable 0FPER (SAP exit variable which denoted current fiscal year/Period)on 0FISCPER in both RKFs.

In second RKF,right click on 0FISCPER>Restrict->right clcik on variable 0FPER(which is already available)--->specify offset as '-1'.

or you can create your own variable with single value, mandatory, ready for input....So that user can enter any value and will get two columns one is for renterd period and one for previous period.

Thanks
