Hi All,
I set kanban boxes to emtpy in my production and get an purchase order with my EWM sloc.
After that I create an ID for my PO and I create an WT for putaway. Is there any option, to store my KANBAN - Box directly in production? Because when I create a WT the system search for my standard storage type and not for the production bin. I know I don't have a bin field in my kanban control cycle, but it is possible to use the EWM control cylce and there is a connection between kanban control cycle and EWM control cycle?
Thanks.
Regards
Daniel
Hi Jürgen,
the Kanban box for this scenario is in the production. The employee scans the box to empty and expect an replenishment. The strategy would be a purchase order. It would be awkward to first move the goods to the standard warehouse and then transfer them to production. One could push it directly into the production. then you save one step. In the EWM - Control Cycle would be a destination bin, so I would have expected, I can use it for my scenario.
If I understand you right, there is no solution for my problem? Otherwise we need a development.
Thanks four your feedback.
Regards
Daniel

Hello,
that scenario contradicts itself. Your kanban process triggers a purchase order for the material and you want this material send directly to the product line - and then order it for an EWM storage location? I have never understood why anyone would do that. The right thing would have a storage location without any warehouse management.

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!
