Sending a file via REST or OData adapter

Sorry I am new to PI and therefore apologise in advance for my stupid question.

I need to send a file from a sap system to another system via PI using REST or ODATA services. Is there any step by step guide for this?

How do i do this? Do i need to create an RFC and then read the file into an internal table, and use this in my sender channel, and then create an Odata receiver channel?

Any help/links greatly appreciated
