Distribution Channel Configuration (ByD)

Hi all,

I need to create several distribution channels in ByD, but when I got into the configuration screen I received two different errors:

1.- Value in field Distribution Channel must start with Z

2,. Enter a value with no more than 2 characters

It means that I can't create more than 11 (Z, Z0, Z1, Z2..... Z9) distribution channel in my system? Is there any other work around to do?

1. How many custom Distribution Channel you desire?

2. Why do you think the standard distribution channel provided would not be helpful to you?

Hi Jyoti,

Thank for your answer.. Researching a little bit more with the customer I realise he is using distribution channel in a wrong way and I suggested them to use another option instead distribution channel.

Hi Raul,

Are you tried combine the initial Z with all the alphabet letters?, on this way you can create 26 combinations and combine Initial Z with numbers you can get 10 combinations.

Depends which kind of Sales Scenario you need cover with many distribution channels could you try to analyze which others account attributes or product data can contribute to solve this with just a few distribution channel.
