Hello friend,
I need to delete one mistaken material. I marked it for deletion in the transaction MM06. Tell me please it is better to use transaction MM71 or SARA in the second step? What is easier to use? Or is it enough to use only transaction MM06 for deleting a single material without archiving?
Thanks for the advice and have a nice day!
Annet.
Normally archiving will be carried out only if system have huge data for any particular object. In your case, since it is only for one material, you don't want system to consider, it would be better to leave it as it is and may be, you can maintain the material text as "Do Not Use"

I think MM06 is enough!

Hi,
It is always advisable to put deletion flag rather than deleting from database.
Anyway, you may refer to the following blog if it helps.

Hi,
This is depends upon the person who can take risk if anything goes wrong. He should capable to reverse everything or at least he should know if wrongly happened he should recognize that.If you are familiar with mass process then it is fine and if it is one time entry better go with single entry or if familiar and confident mass processing you can go ahead above suggested or use LSMW or SAP GUI Script like that.
