How do i run a birthday report with only day and month of birth, excluding the year?

Need help running a custom query so that supervisors can run ad hoc 'birthdays of the month' report that hides the year of birth. any suggestions?

I have not seen the standard solution to achieve this but there is a workaround.

1. Create custom fields (3) in EC for DD, MM & YYYY.
2. If ONB is implemented, map the custom fields with ONB data fields. ONB does have 3 standard fields for MM, DD and YYYY.
3. If ONB is not implemented, use a business rule engine and update the custom fields in the background.
4. RBP can be used to manage the security for custom fields (DD, MM and YYYY).
5. In the custom report - Use only MM and DD fields.
