LSMW Recording with Classification Values ?

Hi Team - I am trying to setup an LSMW recording to upload Batch Search Strategies (VCH1). I am using Batch Input Recording method for transaction VCH1 (Create Batch Search Strategy) Upon selecting access (Customer/Material), the recording works fine all the way till the classification window pops up. Here my default class appears but the characterictic Value screen doesnt prepopulate the characteristics/ accept the chars when i enter ? Looking for inputs from anyone who experienced this ?

P.S: Found a similar thread but the user had to enter class name, in my case the recording is picking the class.
