Task Creation in C4C from SAP Marketing Cloud - Responsibility

Hi all,

as stated in the Application Help it is a scenario to create tasks from SAP Marketing Cloud in C4C e.g. for missing marketing permissions.

Is it possible to hand over any responsibility (employee responsible) for the task?

Same thing for leads... We have the Account Team for the Corporate Accounts in SAP Marketing Cloud but it's not going out when creating leads or activities in C4C...

Has anyone an idea of how we can handle that problem?

Saw there's already an improvement request which is similar to our requirement:

Hi Frederik,

there are two problems:

1) As far as I know these Work Distribution Rules are not available for activities.

2) For leads we have defined our own rule. But that custom rule has always a higher priority than the default ones.

To give an example:

A lead (created from SAP Marketing Cloud) is assigned to the Key Account Manager of the customer. If no Key Account Manager exists in C4C the lead should be assigned to a Backoffice-User based on the interest in the lead.

If we add that rule (to assign the lead based on the interest) it has a higher priority than the one by which the lead is assigned to the KAM, so every lead is assigned based on the interest, even if there exists a KAM for the customer.

Hi Tobias,

could you leverage a little bit on the business requirement, why you want to define the responsible on Marketing Cloud side?

Typically the determination of the responsible happens in C4C. Have you already had a look at the so-called Work Distribution Rules? This allows you do define a logic how new objects (leads, opportunities, service tickets, ...) are distributed to responsibles.

Best Regards,
Frederik
