Posting inventory transaction in closed closed MM period S4HANA 1709 release on premise

Dear Folks,

We are trying to do adjustments to inventory with posting date 31st December 2018 and entry date as today 16th July 2019. But the system is not allowing for the same at MIGO and MR21 saying no posting allowed in closed MM periods. Is there any solution to this? it is due to audit adjustment and required to finalize the accounts.

check transaction OMSY if the posting to previous period is allowed.

You also need to make sure that the stock qty are sufficient for the inventory adjustments you plan to post.
