Entering a UDF to sales quotation Header

I am adding a UDF to Sales Quotation(OQUT) Document. If I want to do that I put the UDF In Marketing Documents correct? I am also assuming this will cause the sales order(ORDR) to also receive the UDF? Are there any other tables that may also recieve the UDF if I add it under Marketing Documents Title?
