COPA Report - Value duplication in the report output

Hi

We have two items in the COPA report : Direct Material Consumption (old) & Direct Mtrl Consumption (New).

This was done due to a Cost Component Structure change recently.

Two separate Value fields are linked to this report rows.

Direct Material Consumption (old) :: Value field VVC01

Direct Mtrl Consumption (New). :: Value field VVC24

But when I run the report, same value is repeated against both these rows:

Why is this duplication happening ?. For the same sales order, both value fields cannot be present in posting.

Do I need to do anything else ?

We do not want to update the characteristics. Only new value fields are added through new Cost component structure for product cost. So value fields are to be updated. Is KEND needed to be executed for this ? Please guide.

After the Cost component structure in Production Costing, should I run transaction KEND in COPA to reallign the Operating concern data ?

KEND is only to update Profitability Segment on totals level. If you want to update the Profitability Segment on Billing document level to you can do this with KE4S too. But do you really need to update the characteristics?

Hello,

are we talking about order entry (record type A) or billing (record type F).

If it is F use the transaction KE4ST to check the transfer of costing data to value fields. It describes in detail which costing is used and which values are transferred.

For A you can use KE4T to test the value flow.
