Evolution of the cloud

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone got's a good overview of the evolution of the cloud, because I can't find all the information in one central space and I find it kind of intresting to know the history of what we are working on...

To answer questions like:

-Why did they move in 2012 (if I'm not mistaking) to the cloud

- How was it in the early days.

- When was the neo environment born?

- When was the cloud foundry environment born?

- Why the difference and what is the way forward

- ...
