Query on transactional ODS possible?

Hi,

we have a process of master data maitenance by end-user.

in order to capture the changes, we are using transactional ODS.

But, now, we have a requirement to report on transactional ODS to see who has made changes & when the changes are made.

I'm not able to create a report out of transactional ODS. Did anyone face the same problem?

Is this a problem or is that the way it works?

need to mentione about our versions & We are on BW 3.0B & SEM 3.1B.

If we can't write a report on Transactional ODS, then what is the purpose of the same?
