In MD, I only found in MRP1 & MRP4 to set assembly scrap / component scrap in percentage. We require that during peak season, the scrap be set to an extra pallet. Is there anyway to achieve this?
You can tick field 'Fixed qty' in BOM. So, the component quatity is always the same.
Eample in BOM:
line 10: Comp-A , qty is 1 EA.
line 10: Comp-A, qty is 1 PAL and field ''Fixed qty' is in tick condition.
If your production order is 1000 then you need comp-A with qty 1000 EA + 1 PAL.

1 FG have 2 line in BOM as follows:
line 10, component-A, qty is 10 with "fix qty" unticked.
line 20, component-A, qty is 10 with "fix qty" ticked (as scrap component).
If you make 10 FG then you need Component-A with qty 100 + Component-A with qty 10 (as scrap).
If you make 100 FG then you need Component-A with qty 1000 + Component-A with qty 10 (as scrap).
If you make 1000 FG then you need Component-A with qty 10000 + Component-A with qty 10 (as scrap).
In above illustration, you can see that scrap qty is static.
Hi Huiping Shen,
In BOM we can maintain each and every line item component scrap %,
Ex: pallet 2% scrap, BAG packing 3% scrap, BOX packing 2% scrap we can maintain with the weighted average depends on last month or last year's scrap%.
No need of maintain the component scrap% in material master, you just maintain in BOM.
While doing planning say ex: if we maintained scrap% as 1 in 1st line item of the component, then am going to produce 100 EA as per the planning, at the time of planned order to production order converison, system will generate 101 EA quantity required for the 1st line item to produce the header material.
Thanks,
