Opening Fiori app (SAPUI5) in new tab

Hello Experts,

I am new to SAP Fiori and I have a peculiar requirement from my customer.I searched through the forum and what i find is , my requirement contradicts with the SAP recommendation with respect to opening apps.

My requirement is to Open the Purchase Order Approval App in a new tab instead of current tab.

Is there any way we can achieve this ?

I have already tried managed = FioriWave1 and it does not work.I get an error saying " FIle not found".
