Load consumers using file import data in Marketing Cloud

Hi,

We are trying to import consumers using a CSV file via the Import Data application.

When we use the Contact template (there is no separate Consumer template) we are able to upload the data but it creates contacts not consumers, which means we cant see them in segmentation (we are using the All Consumers segmentation profile).

There is nothing that I can find in the CX Works website or the SAP Help on loading consumers, it all points to contacts.

I have tried to add ISCONSUMER to the template and mark consumers with an "X" but the import monitor says the attribute is invalid and has been ignored. Are we missing something, or is it impossible to create Consumers by file upload and can only be done via ODATA?

Hi,

Field names for marketing a record as Consumer/Contact is IS_CONSUMER or IS_CONTACT. I think you are missing a '_'.
