MMCC Transaction for different company code/sales organisation?

Good afternoon

Does anybody know if I can use transaction MMCC in order to create/extend a material to a different company code/sales organisation?

And in general, if i want to create a new material using another material as a reference, how can i change basic information, such as net weight, mrp controller, etc?

Best personal regards

Nikos

Dear all,

I am trying to create a new material based on a reference material using transaction MMCC. My settings is as it seems in the screenshots. data1.jpg, data2.jpg, data3.jpg, data4.jpg, data5.jpg, data6.jpg, data7.jpg. Why do i get a message "Maintain the conversion factor for the alternative unit PCS"??? error.jpgMy reference material (0289122) is measured in pieces, and has no other alternative UofM defined in BasicData1--> Additional data. Any ideas?

In addition, how can i use BADI MATERIAL_CHANGE_DATA in order to perform changes to the data of the materials before they are created?

Thank you very much,

Nikos

Go through the OSS note 1880324 which explains what data can be copied and what are the restrictions.

Good morning

I have read note 1880324. What i do not understand is what phrase "In each case, however, you can select only one organizational unit for the reference data. In other words, you do not have the flexibility to assign a source organizational unit and target organizational unit.". Does this mean i can only copy materials within the same Sales Organisation and Distribution Chanel? For me, it is not clear from the above description.

And it is not clear because a little bit further down in the note it writes: "Here, a flexible approach can be adopted in relation to copying organizational levels: You do not necessarily have to copy a "reference material" organizational level to the same "target material" organizational level. For example, you can also copy plant 1000 (source organizational level) to plant 2000 (target organizational level)"

So, i do not really understand how this specific issue works. And i can not find any example on how "Do Not Change Existing Data" option works...

Best regards
