The message text is quite clear. Are you trying to create an order with reference to another order? That's what the message is implying.

I don't think schedule line config is relevant here.

You shared only the schedule line configuration, which is a small part of the whole setup, you did not explain how your overall configuration differs from standard, so I doubt that people outside of your organization will be able to assist you.

For this reason I propose a few troubleshooting options so that you can find the solution by yourself:

1. Is this the first time cash sales is used in your organization? If no - start from a setup that works and change one thing at a time. If yes - start from the standard configuration, copy the settings and start changing one thing at a time until you figure out what is the problem.

2. Was the sales order saved successfully? Any update terminations, SM13 entries? Any configuration preventing the sales order from saving, e.g. credit issues? Are all order items updated? Do you have any exit/enhancement etc.active that may be causing the problem. Try program SNIF and/or transaction PRCAT to find custom code. Some companies use custom code for updating order items and sub-items, so it makes sense to look into this as well.

3. Did you search for SAP notes with the error message as search criterion? There are a few notes, like 1833278 - V1331: "Item & does not exist" for VA02/VA03 and 2510613 - Error V1331 when creating or editing sales order items. If you searched and none of the notes (including the correction ones) applies to your case, then this is part of the information that you were supposed to include in your post. If you haven't searched - I suggest that you re

4. If all fails - ask a friendly colleague with good ABAP knowledge to help you debug the problem.

Thanks for your response.

here i would like to inform that when i uncheck the "Item is relevant for delivery" in schedule line configurations system lets me save the sales order with message "cash sales document xx has been save (no delivery created)."

and when i check the "Item is relevant for delivery" in schedule line configurations system give the error "Cannot read the preceding sales document items".

below are my configurations for the cash sales.

m_25032016 this is not an answer to the questions that I asked, and even these questions were supposed to help you approach the problem from a different angle. The chances that a person outside of your organization can figure out what is the root cause based on two screenshots, is next to none, the idea is to use the hints given by forum members to troubleshoot the problem by yourself.

By comparing the screenshots of the item category and schedule line to the standard configuration I see only one difference to standard BVN and CP - the item category statistic group, which is not supposed to be 2 - returns, because you sell products. Still, I find it very unlikely that an incorrect statistics group could result in such error, in items missing, order not saved to the database etc (or whatever it is that happens to your order or order item item).
