InhseProdTime mandatory field

We are on ECC6.0 and we have it that the InhseProdTime (MARC_DZEIT) is a mandatory field in MRP2 & Work Scheduling views. We need to use the Lot Size Dependent fields of Setup Time, Processing time, Interoperation, & Base Qty. However, we cannot populate both these fields and the InhseProdTime field.

Hello,

Read F1 help of field, either you enter the in-house production time. If required, you can get the system to update this value from the routing. Instate of making filed DZEIT as mandatory in material master, you can update the material master from routing timing through CA97 or CA97N will update values in material master work scheduling view which would be Lot Size Dependent.

You can use report program RCPMAU01 to update automatically in the background so that all materials will have lot size depended inhouse production time.

R, sorry but that did not work. It still requires InhseProdTime (MARC_DZEIT) as a mandatory field and therefore cannot populate Lot Size Dependent fields of Setup Time, Processing time, Interoperation, & Base Qty fields. There must be something in config. that needs to be changed.

Hello,

Yes you need make it as optional field in configuration of material master.

Go to transaction SPRO -> IMG --> Logistics - General -> Material Master -> Field Selection -> Maintain Field Selection for Data Screens.

Please refer this blog for more details.

Control material master fields
