Personnel master record does not exist

Hello.

I used the transaction VD02 to assign a personnel number to the partner function SE (Sales employee).

The personnel number is created with an internal number range.

In sales data I used the same sales organisation, sales office and sales group as the business partner.

I created a new account group, assigned it to the partner function SE and to the determination procedure AG (Sold to party).

In the transaction VD02, I created a new entry for the partner function SE and tried to find a personnel number with search help, but didnt get any results. So I typed in the number, hit enter and got the error message "Personnel master record <Personal number> does not exist".

Hello Mike,

In Partner Functions option, what is the partner type maintained for your Partner Function SE?
For using HR mini master's personal number for sales employee, partner type needs to be PE for your given partner function.

Yes, the partner type for SE is PE.

Moreover, did you try creating VE or PE as partner function in your system?

The issue most like due to VE conversion for SE. It should be PE. Moreover, in my past project for Fiori App, we faced a similar issue due to change in std conversion config.

That doesn`t solve the problem.

I would suggest, that I delete all entries for the sales employee and start again.

The start should be the creation of a new account group.

Could you give me a brief overview, what to do next?

1. Use Partner Function PE/VE (partner type PE).

2. Have Partner Function conversion maintained for VE equal to PE.

3. Then maintain Partner Function Determination for the give partner function in Customer, Sales Order Header, Sales Order Item(If needed), Billing.

4. In your HR Mini Master's Personal Number maintain below Infotypes

> 0001 (General)

> 0105 (Communication – Employee SYSTEM ID - 0001)

> 0900 (Sales – Sales Organization / Sales Office)

Checklist for HR Mini Master Config:

To enable HR Mini Master (HMM), the below

1. Define Personnel Area

2. Define personnel Sub Area

3.Define Employee Groups

4. Define Employee Sub-groups

5. Assign Personnel Area to Company Code

6. BASIC Settings

i. Maintain User Parameter

ii. Maintaining Number Range Intervals for Personnel Numbers

iii. Determining Defaults for Number Ranges (Feature NUMKR)

iv. Define default position

v. Define User Group Dependency on Menus and Info Groups

vi. Define User Group Dependency on Menus and Info Groups

vii. Setting up Personnel Action

viii. Changing Action Menu

You can also use TCODE VPE1 for creating sales representative in your system based on your existing personal number.

Thanks Jyoti, this was very helpfull.

I managed to assign the personnel number to the business partner.

To achieve this I checked the values of HRALX/HRAC and HRALX/PBPON in transaction OO_CENTRAL_PERSON.

After that I synchronized the business partner with this report /SHCM/RH_SYNC_BUPA_FROM_EMPL.

Maybe you can capture it when you enter the personal number and the error..

First to the Account group Sold to party (0001) and then to account group I created for SE.

Yes, I the infotype 0105 (communication) was maintained for subtype 0001 (sy-uname).

Since thats the case it is existing in your HR master record, you have to double check your configuration.

also check VE or PE if already existed in partner determination procedures(VOPAN) or option in partner functions in VD02,

before we have encountered some conflict with this partner functions since they are both PE

In the partner functions there are no options for VE or PE.

In Partner Functions in Procedure AG is assigned the SE function.
