When we want to make changes to existing screens we are pretty limited: Only extension fields can be added. Only in specific places. No buttons can be added (except navigation using OBN). Nothing... fancy.
We can do a lot more in own screens. With Embedded Components you can make your own screen and insert it into a standard screen. The location is still limited, but you can do a lot inside the EC.
But if you make an EC based on the same object as the main screen, your EC is working on a copy in the database (actually the buffer), not the version the main screen is using where the user has already changed things (but hasn't saved yet).
Is there a way to make an EC work on the same object INSTANCE of the main screen?
