Process order without sales order

one of our client need to restrict process order, as system allows to create and save process order withut sales order for free of charge item (sample or gift).

how to restrict process order in this case? its urgent please.

Could you please reframe your question again? I am not getting your question.

Or try with mrp type ND to not to create the process order. Or directly keep the item into the sales order line item so that system will create the order with references to the sales order.

Hello,

You can do that with authorization, remove authorization for transaction COR1 for all users.

And provide authorization for COR7 - With a Planned Order so run MRP for sales order MD51.

It will create planned order against sales order then user can convert it to process order with reference to sales order.

There is transaction to create production order with referenc to sale order CO08 - For Sales Order. However I can not find same for process order.

What strategy group updated in material master (MTS or MTO) for sample or gift item?

1. Implement the enhancement to control process order creation without sales order reference. The follwoing blog explains about order processing enhancements. https://blogs.sap.com/2016/01/06/badis-and-exits-for-production-and-process-orders/
2. You can create sample item as direct production (Special procurmeent key 52- Collective order) so that when you create process order for main item system automatically create process order with reference to main item and sales order request.
