How to use a Pie chart section color to

Hi,

I have a Pie chart with 3 sections for each status vale (Open, Close, Completed). In the chart, each status has a corresponding color.

I then added in the report , a bar chart which shows the status(Region Color), the type of issues (Category X), and the number per types/status. I then used element linking to be able to control what the bar chart displays when I select an area of the chart. I would also hopped to see the bar chart displaying the color of the section I select in the chart. But , it only works if the element linking is set to control everything in the report. I just wanted the element linking , to just control the bar chart, not the pie chart itself, because there is only one level. But it does not work that way. Can anyone know how to achieve what I'm looking for ?

I have figured out . Basically , once just needs to link the summary Pie chart to the detailed bar chart. Then from the bar chart, right click on each bar you want to assign the same color as the pie chart section and select the "Format Data series " and under color, choose the color you want. The one which is the same as the color of the pie chart section you want.
