Output self-defined variables ?

Hi all,

I am working with "SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence 4.2" and have the following problem.

Is there a way to output all the self-defined variables from a given report?
I can not find a function providing this information!

TIA,
Henning

    Hi Amit,

    what I mean is a way to print all the self created variables and their definition into the report.
    E.g., I have defined these variables in my report definition:

    I would like to print the the name and the definition:

    like this:

    Gesammte Downtime := =[Tage] + " Tage " + FormatZahl([Stunden];"00") + ":" + FormatZahl([Minuten];"00") + ":" + FormatZahl([Sekunden];"00")

    Unfortunately, I can not find a function to realize this.

    Can you help?

    Best regards,

    Henning

    You can do that with RESTful

    http://<server>:<port>/biprws/raylight/v1/documents/<doc id>/variables

    ..

    ex:

    http://<server>:<port>/biprws/raylight/v1/documents/<doc id>/variables

    You will get something like that

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
    <variables>
        <variable dataType="String" qualification="Dimension">
            <id>L2</id>
            <name>TVar2</name>
        </variable>
        <variable dataType="Numeric" qualification="Measure">
            <id>L1</id>
            <name>TVar1</name>
        </variable>
    </variables>

    and if you want to get the contents of each variable

    http://<server>:<port>/biprws/raylight/v1/documents/<doc id>/variables/<variable id>

    ex. variable id L1

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
    <variable dataType="Numeric" qualification="Measure">
        <id>L1</id>
        <name>TVar1</name>
        <formulaLanguageId>[TVar1]</formulaLanguageId>
        <definition>=[Sales revenue]/[Quantity sold]</definition>
    </variable>

    ex. variable id L2

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
    <variable dataType="String" qualification="Dimension">
        <id>L2</id>
        <name>TVar2</name>
        <formulaLanguageId>[TVar2]</formulaLanguageId>
        <definition>=[State] + "--"+ [City]</definition>
    </variable>

    ....

    hope that helps you
