What should be the configuration to create new asset class in existing company code?
In the IMG, I usually copy from an existing asset class and then make changes

Dear Radhika,
First of all, if the Asset Class requires new GL accounts, then create these in FS00 before you proceed with the asset class.
Then in SPRO:
1.Specify Account Determination in Asset Accounting-Organizational Structures-Asset Classes-Specify Account Determination
2.Create Screen Layout Rules in Asset Accounting-Organizational Structures-Asset Classes-Create Screen Layout Rules
3 Define Asset Classes in Asset Accounting-Organizational Structures-Asset Classes-Define Asset Classes. You can copy an existing class here as Jani & Tammy stated.
4 Assign GL Accounts in Asset Accounting-Integration with General Ledger Accounting-Assign G/L Accounts to assign GL accounts in the asset class.
5 Assign a default Depreciation Key in the new Asset Class in Asset Accounting-Valuation-Determine Depreciation Areas in the Asset Class
Kind Regards
