Sap Business One Installation, required MS SQL Features, recommended Features

Hello,

in the Manual for Sap business One Installation i did not find any recommendation, which Features of the MSSQL Server to install. Just the minimum? I think simply to install all of the features is not the best solution for perfmance and memory consumption.

Hi Michael,

The installation, and what features you install, in themselves will not significantly affect performance. As eric.micua said, best to go with the default features, but anything extra you should only install if you know what you are doing, and if you know that you will actually be using it. Otherwise it will merely be bloatware on your server.

Hardware, and a few settings will have a far greater impact on performance and memory consumption. Please have a look at this blog for more information.

Hi,

You can just install the default features, but I suggest to select the full text and semantic extractions for search and those services connected in business intellegence.
