I'd like to ask you, if anybody already implemented new roles or adjusted existing roles in terms of overall technical architecture of Hybrid Landscapes. More and more, On-Premise landscapes get enhanced with Cloud offerings (SCP, SAP SaaS) and there is no clear responsibility for an overall architecture view and coordination of projects and architectural changes.
One cannot separate Cloud from On-Premise, if we think of the Digital Business Core (S/4HANA + Cloud) and all Integration domains (like described in SAP ISA-M Template).
In our case, there is just a horizontal alignment (if any) between SAP Cloud Integration specialists and SAP Basis. But no clear entry point for projects, technical/functional consultants, developers or Business demand managers.
My personal vision is that of a "Lead Technical Architect", who operates as a focal point for Architecture / Technology topics, synchronises with Enterprise Architecture and coordinates with Cloud Integration and SAP Basis, or any other involved team.
