UNV-UNX Conversion - Error BI 4.2 SP6

Hi All,

I started creating the custom templates to do change the source of webi documents by creating jobs and started with a single document(changing source the Launchpad). I see that all the jobs are going to “pending state”. (Neither success nor failed).

I ran jobs with both Admin and Non admin account but same status. Windows Server, BI 4.2 SP6

Please advise!

Thanks,

Mithun

When you are asking questions, it is a good idea to actually describe what tool you are using.
It is not clear from your question at all that you are using Automation framework.

I apologize. Will do.

First, make sure the "Automation Framework" and the "BI Agent" are running, and of course the "MessagingQueueBroker".

After running Scenario, you must click "Scenario Refresh" button to display "Running" or "Success" because the page does not refresh automatically when the status changes.

Hi Ayman,

I tried refreshed the scenarios and In fact, I was waiting for the status to change from last 3 days. No luck.

Thanks,

Mithun.

If this still does not work, your configuration does not seem to be completely successful.

So, make sure that you have correctly copied the SSL certificate store "activemq.client.truststore"

from

<INSTALLDIR>\AdminConsole\MessagingQueueBroker\etc\ssl\."

to

  1. <Automation Framework-Directory>\custom\mq_client_certificate\.
  2. <Agent-Directory>\custom\mq_client_certificate\.

...

Also note that the order of execution of the services is very important: (of course after the launch of "SIA")

1. MessageQueueBroker

2. Automation Framework

3. Agent

...

then test it with a very simple scenario: just "login and logout"

....

Hope that will help

Hi Ayman,

As I doubted, this "Pending state" must be because of the access issue. I tried to create a scenario by adding a new folder to save my scenario's under the destination folder location. Then, I encountered the below error. Can you please suggest me on how and where can I check the wheather Admin has full rights to do the job here.

Please see the error screen attached. screenshot.png

* First, use Administrator to try a simple "login-logout" scenario to make sure your configuration is correct.

* Then go to "CMC -> Application" and set the user rights for "BI Administration Console" and "Automation Framework".

* under "CMC -> BI Administration Console" set the user right for "Scenario, Landscape, ....."

For more information, see "BI Administration Console Guide."

Hi Ayman,

Seems nearing to a solution now and As you said, I checked the access levels and already in place.

Surprising thing is that, though the scenario is going to pending state, I observed that the related reports are pointing to a UNX. (Webi changed its source). I can see the relationship of the document with converted Unx.

I will test further and post if I have any doubts.

Thanks so far.

Hi Ayman,

Thanks so far!

A Last question, Could you please clarify on the below 2 prompts

1) Documents Worklist

2) UniverseMapping Worklist though, I have not given these two, I can see the succesful changing in the source from Unv To Unx. Please explain what exactly these prompts does? Where I can get the list in BI repository.

Thanks Again!

Thanks,

Mithun S.

The multiple .bootstrap files in win64_x64 location can cause communication issue for Automation Framework.

Hi,

Scenario Execution will always show as pending if Automation framework and BI Agent are not started. Please ensure they are in running state.

Thanks,

Hi Wobi,

Yeah, I made all necessary configurations before I run the scenario's. But I doubt somewhere this must be an access related issues. I will update you once I get any good news on it.

Thanks,
