Deleting in Simple Content Repository

Dear Community,

I'm working currently with SAP Marketing Cloud 1905 and we have configured the Simple Content Repository to manage images within the Marketing Cloud. I'm able to upload and search for images within the repository.

This might be a trivial question, but how is it possible to delete or rename images that are saved in the repository?.

Do I have to delete the images directly in the Content Delivery Network?

Thanks,

Jose

Hi kunalkumar.bansal , jose_rangel ,

How do you log on to the simple content repository to delete the images?

Hello,

Deleting the uploaded content from the repository is currently not possible. This feature should be available in the near future.

Thanks and regards,

Aruna

Thanks for this information! Hope it comes soon, as there's a limit on the nr of GB we are allowed, a deletion option is quite important.

Hello vervinckt.joyca,

I received the information that SAP would expand the capacity of the repository if needed until the delete feature is available. But I can't say if this is an official statement.

Either way, the delete option is fundamental for the use of the content repository.

Hello kunalkumar.bansal , vervinckt.joyca

The way I understood that if that we have to delete the images directly in the Content Delivery Network (DCN) that is connected to the Content Repository within the SAP Marketing Cloud. Although that sounds too complicated to just delete images

Best regards

Jose

Hmm, but if you delete it only on the CDN, its original will still be on the Content Repository, and still show in SAP Marketing Cloud's Content Studio, I believe? Also, on my CDN, I don't see any navigation to the actual images... So I couldn't delete them there.

And I can't seem to log in to the Content Repository (first url in the content repository configuration app).

I also tried to log in to the Content Repository to try to delete the images from there. But, I wasn't able to access the SAP Document Center from the Content Repository URL

kunalkumar.bansal,

You mentioned "Yes, you need to delete it directly from source, i.e. Content Repository.", but neither Jose nor me can find how to do this. Could you explain please?

Unfortunately, deletion access in Content Repository is not given to customers!
