Invoking Crystal Reports from an MVC application

I am going to invoke the Crystal Reports Reporting Engine from within an ASP.NET MVC application that runs on an Azure Virtual Machine. I will pass the reporting Engine a string which I want displayed at the top of the report. I want to know if there are any problems in doing that

Make it a string parameter in the report, put it where you want it in your report design, and then set the parameter value in your code. This will be much easier than trying to add or change a string to the report itself.
