Hi!
When we choose to create a campaign, what tells system for which channel marketing permission to check? Is it "media type"?
We want to have two different email consents based on a content. I want to understand would it be enough to create a new EMAIL_2 communication media and collect customer consents for that? How can we tell in the campaign, which of two EMAIL consents should be checked?

SAP Marketing uses permissions (general email or sms permission) and subscriptions (newsletters). A regular campaign is considering general permissions, that are determined via the communication media from the campaign actions - like Email, SMS, Phone,... Newsletter campaigns require subscriptions - a subscription to a specific communication category is more or less independent from the generic permission.
To control whether permissions or subscriptions should be considered during campaign execution is controlled via the communication category of a campaign - if that is filled, the campaign is considered as newsletter campaign.

When talking about permissions, there is no way to use different consent types, this needs to be designed via subscriptions - like with using a subscription as 'birthday congrats'.

We will have two different email consents - email consent for regular campaigns for e-commerce related content and email consent for periodic campaigns sending emails like birthday congratulations.
There isn't a general consent, unfortunately, customers can give a consent to either one or other or both. When setting up campaigns, system should consider specific email consent instead of one general email consent.
I was planning to create a new EMAIL_2 communication media and was analyzing how I can let system to control right email consent in a right campaign.
