I have a problem that happens occasionally, but have not been able to purposely reproduce.
- Process order is created in COR1. Batch is created at this time.
- Later, a packaging process order is created in COR1. Its own batch is created, based on the parent batch from #1.
- Several days later, each of these are posted, using COR6 or MB31 or whatever. 99% of the time, the packaging batch's Date of Manufacture is merely *revised* at this point of posting. Say, from 4/1/2019 when the process order was originally created, to 4/4/2019. This can be seen in MSC3n change history. However, 1% of the time, the Date of Manufacture was never created, and MSC3n shows that the Date of Manufacture goes from 00/00/0000 to 4/4/2019.
This is a problem because in the interim, product labels are being printed, and they have missing expiration date because the manufacturing date was missing.
- I have tried to duplicate this by creating a process order in COR1 without entering a date, but it always gives me a red stop error. And whatever date I enter as the "basic start date" in COR1 ends up getting saved as the manufacturing date (at least until later revised), so I don't know where the error is coming from that yields a blank or 00/00/0000 manufacturing date.
