phase in background in APO

Hello experts,

We are trying to solve an issue where we incurred. We are using standard phase in/out functionality in SAP APO. it works fine in foreground mode, but when we run it with background jobs the phase in process doesn't create any forecast for the new product. The error that we see in SM37 is that there are no plannable characteristics combinations and there is no possible forecast because of no historical data. But there is historical data of the old product because if we run the job in foreground the result is fine. We are creating the background activity with transactions SAPAPO/MC8T and related job with SAPAPO/MC8D.

If it is he issue with background planing then, please refer SAP note 2674086 - Incorrect forecast with Phase In or Phase Out profiles (life cycle)
