Chapter 99 code determination on Customs Declaration in SAP GTS

Hi All,

Am trying to automatically determine Chapter 99 code (additional tariff number) on the Customs Declaration line items based on transaction line item some parameters. Have done this in the past using implicit enhancement , but looking to understand if this logic can be implemented using any existing BADI.

We dont want to add this manually on the transaction line item since the declarations are huge (>500 line items each).

Hi Jasmit,

I recently did an implementation for special tariff (chapter 98 & 99) with a new numbering scheme

US_HTS_ADD (that must be available in standard) and chapter 98/99 HTS code can be assigned here. Regular HTS code can be assigned under US_HTS numbering scheme. Then, assign numbering scheme US_HTS_ADD (for import) to legal regulation ACE in "Assign Scheme for Commodity Codes".

SPRO -> SAP Global Trade Services -> General Settings -> Numbering Schemes -> Assign Numbering Schemes to Legal Regulations of the Application Areas.

This configuration step will populate the tariff number from US_HTS_ADD numbering scheme to the import customs declaration (if assigned). Of course, your regular tariff code also appears in the customs declaration.
