Picking status in ODO header

Hi All,

When I perform partial picking for my ODO, the picking status in the ODO header is getting changed to "Completed" instead of "Partially Completed." This is for OPS document type and these are batch managed materials. Mine is Embedded S/4 HANA 1809 system.

I referred note# 2518328 and changed statuses "DPD - Picking and Distribution" to ACTIVE for header and item status profiles "/SCWM/OUT_PRD_PS" and "/SCWM/OUT_PRD_DLV_PS" but the issue still didn't get resolved.

Can someone suggest any possible solutions for this issue?

Best Regards,

Pavan

    Pavan,

Item 10 has pick status "Not relevant". Item 20 has picking status "Completed". So the agregated status is "Completed. Only if you had a third item with the status "Not started" you would find a status "Partially completed" at header level.

This might be counter intuitive and it is arguable if the design is optimal, but it is how it was conceived. There is no system error.

It is clearly explained in the note you mention, link https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/SCM/EWM+delivery+status+handling, chapter "Aggregated statuses".

    • Hi Julio,

I have already created 3 Pick tasks and only 1 of them was confirmed. In such case, ideally picking status should be "Partially Completed." Why would I have a 3rd line already? Ideally 3rd line will be created only when I confirm pick task for a different batch. What if the pick task is confirmed for same batch, then it will be updated in the 2nd line itself right?

What I expect is that the picking status of ODO should already be in "Partially Completed" status which is not happening right now. I already checked the link you provided and understand that aggregated status is "Completed." But, this link does not give any solution for this issue. How do I now resolve this inconsistency in my system?

      Best Regards,

      Pavan

I understand what you expect and personally I would expect the same, but it is not how SAP thinks. It is described very clearly in 2518328. Either you learn to live with it or you will need a development to change the logic. Maybe you need to rethink the process to check for open quantities with role PI instead of relying on the pick status.

You have one item with status 0 and one item with status 9. Header status is therefore 9 according to the algorithm.

    Hi Pavan,

    Here are my questions:

    1) Item 10 & Item 20 are different ?

    2) Can you please expand the item 10 & share the Movement Type Screenshot

    3) for both items item type is same , can you share item type & item category details.

    4) is the item status is not relevant for picking initially when the delivery is distributed or after Warehouse task created ?

Refer to SAP Note 1274794 - New status for select and monitor picking and splitting process

The correct status to refer in this case is DPD "Picking and Distribution"

Check the SCN Wiki link here, it tells how the status is calculated and how to setup new status.
