Hi All,

I am unable to logon to another server, and i am unable to catch where the error was..

I have created an RFC destination(<b>R/3</b> connection) where i mentioned the Logon details and Technical settings correctly and even <b>Test Connection</b> is working fine but when i click <b>Remote Logon</b> nothing is Happening (no error was shown nor able to logon to destination)...

Can any body give a solution...

Thanks and Regards,

Sridhar

Have u give user id and client details...

Press System Information->Target information and check if it is giving u information of ur destination system only.

Hello Sridhar,

If your RFC user is not a dialog user, then you will not be able to log on to the system in the dialog mode. The remote log on will fail in the dialog mode. However, when you use an RFC call, there will not be any problems.

Hope you are getting wht I'm trying to say. If not, please get back, I'll be glad to clarify.

Regards,

Anand Mandalika.

P.S. Please reward points if the answer solved your problem or is otherwise helpful.

Hi All,

I have mentioned the Host name correctly( say XDSERVER),

But when i enter the Host name and press enter its changing to other(XDSERVER.XYZ.COM)

But when same server Host name i used in other server i got only the host (XDSERVER)...Does this make any deifference...

Waiting for a Solution

Hello Sridhar,

I'm unable to figure out what you could be doing wrong. Everything you say seems to be correct. It doesn't matter if the server name is getting changed to server.xyz.com.

Hello Sridhar,

I don't c any problem. I hope u have connection type set to 3 and select in technical setting, SAVE AS IP address and enter IP address in the Target host.

Load distribution is set to NO.

Another option is set in Special Options Trace as X and test after that u can run program RSRFCTRC in the receiving system.

Another option is ST05 and select RFC trace and execute the RFC and then disply the trace.

Hope oe of them helps to solve the problem.
