How can I read PI payload - any sap table / function module ?

Hello PI Gurus,

I need to find out the number of records in a PI Payload. Is there any SAP PI table / function module available to get the number of records for an PI interface without going inside the actual payload in SXI_monitor.

I know table SXMSCLUP / SXMSCLUR captured the cluster information for PI payload in compressed form. But I don’t know from where I can get the actual message and hence number of records counts.

Hi Acharjee,

I had similar requirement but i had used 'Statistics' function in Message mapper to get the count of records with corresponding IDoc no and updated in target attributes for references.

Could you please brief what do you mean by number of records, in PI Payload,

are you looking for total number or business document in it ..?
